WILL I GAIN WEIGHT AT FIRST?

It's tempting to use upping the exercise as an excuse to chow down. Depending on your 6 or 12-week programme option, you'll be asked to train 3 times a week (6 weeks) or twice a week (12 weeks).
You'll do 8-12 reps per set (based on standard weight/resistance training methods) at a rep speed of 2 seconds for lifting and 4 seconds for lowering. Each set should last between 50-70 seconds, which will ensure maximum muscle activity for each set.
The idea of training for 2-3 times a week only is to give your muscles enough time to recover.
Bear in mind rest is essential for muscle growth, while preventing muscle fatigue, reducing risk of injury, improving performance and supporting healthy sleep.
