If you're an enthusiastic and sociable golfer, why not come aboard? We have memberships available, for full 7-day players and 5-day Monday to Friday members. We plan to close out membership soon. Once we're full, a members' waiting list system will be introduced. So, it’s time to start thinking about your fun golfing times ahead allowing you to usually play throughout the year with our fast draining greens.

The late afternoon sun beaming down on you and your new friends at the nineteenth, as you sip a cold drink from our members' bar while sharing fond stories of a fabulous walk and the day's memorable shots.

1. Porters Park Golf Club is renowned as one of the best parkland golf courses in Britain. Whether for the quality of the course or the beauty of its flora and fauna, you'll adore the layout and the seasonally-changing colours of trees and shrubs. And no matter how well – or badly! – you’re hitting your shots, Porters Park has been praised as one of the best walks in Hertfordshire.  

2. Porters Park has pioneered the concept of 'roll-up golf' with social groups meeting frequently through the week and weekends. If you’re new to the club or you haven’t arranged to play at the weekend, you can simply just turn up and get a game with one of the regular parties.

3. We have an online booking system for our regular club competitions. This also helps new members meet other players, you'll soon be one of the club family.

4. When we're not running competitions, we use a 2-tee start to boost the number of members who can play at busy times to accommodate 2 & 4 ball golf. Relax and enjoy our patio area after your game, enjoying a cold beverage or a crisp, sun-kissed glass of wine with your new friends.

5. The ladies competitions are held most weeks on a Tuesday with the option to compete at the weekend for working members.

6. Our regular and well-supported club social events are gaining an enviable reputation, both for the club's welcoming atmosphere and our members' camaraderie. We've achieved this through our membership mix of men along with women of all standards, from new players to low handicappers.

7. We offer excellent facilities and teaching services for members who'd like to practise and improve. 

8. As a private members' club, we reinvest any financial surplus in maintaining the highest standards of the course and clubhouse. We intend to keep Porters Park at the forefront of Hertfordshire golf courses for many years to come.

9. We can't claim our membership fees are the lowest in the county. But they do ensure we can keep a superb course and facilities, with just the right number of members. This gives you more opportunity to play with far less restriction. Compare this with the many other clubs which, though their fees are lower, have far more members – and much less opportunity for sporting advancement and sociable enjoyment.

10. Since Porters Park is run by committees of volunteer members, you can be sure that you'll be joining a club that's absolutely dedicated to continued success. And you'll always have a say in the way the club is run.
